Shipping policy
Live Arrival Guarantee
The shop offers a guarantee your plants will arrive alive to your desired destination. However, certain conditions must be met in order for the guarantee to apply to all orders.
To have your order be covered under this policy:
- Please double check your address before placing an order. Lost or delayed packages due to incorrect shipping addresses are not covered.
- Stolen or neglected packages that are left at delivery locations for extended periods of time are also not included in the guarantee.
- Buyer must include insulation and a heat pack if weather conditions are below 45F. If forgotten, please contact the shop via email as soon as possible to avoid any shipping delays.
- If there are any issues with the order, the buyer has the responsibility to contact the shop within 24 hours after delivery to notify me. Please include photos and a message detailing the concern.
- If more than 24 hours pass, the plant is considered in the buyer's care and not covered under the live arrival guarantee. The shop can still offer advice and care tips after this time if requested.
- If the buyer repots, cuts, or significantly alters the plant within the 24 hour window after delivery and the plant declines, live arrival guarantee is voided.
If the delivery location is experiencing extreme weather (below freezing or above 95F), the shop reserves the right to delay shipping for up to 2 weeks until the weather improves.
Common signs of shipping stress do not qualify for a refund. Please see "refund" section below for more details.
Carriers and Costs
All packages will be shipped via UPS.
The store currently only ships to the domestic United States (excludes Alaska or Hawaii).
We do not ship to P.O. boxes.
There are 4 shipping options for 2 different weights:
- Ground (5 business days)
- $8 for under 2 lbs
- $10 for more than 2 lbs
- 3 Day Select
- $15 for under 2 lbs
- $18 for more than 2 lbs
- 2 Day Air
- $25 for under 2 lbs
- $30 for more than 2 lbs
- Next Day Air Saver
- $50 for under 2 lbs
- $60 for more than 2 lbs
NOTE: If selecting regular ground shipping, the plants may be in transit for >1 week and may arrive with more shipping stress. I highly recommend 3 Day Select shipping for the safest option.
Shipping Times
Plants will be shipped the following Monday or Tuesday after a shop restock. If a holiday falls on a Monday, packages will be shipped Tuesday.
If a plant order is placed after 9:00 PM PST on Sunday, the order will be shipped the following week. (i.e. not within 1-2 days, but rather 8-9 days)
Typical processing of orders occurs the Sunday following a restock. If any changes need to be made to an order, please email the shop before Sunday (i.e. before the order is packaged) to avoid any delays.
Once the order is processed, the buyer will receive an email with tracking information.
Cancellations
The shop does not offer cancellations related to change of mind requests. Please think carefully before purchasing any products.
An order may be cancelled in the event of inventory shortages, quality issues, or other circumstances. A full refund including shipping costs will be issued immediately if that is the case.
We reserve the right to cancel or refuse business at the shop's discretion.
Refunds
No refunds related to returns or exchanges are accepted.
Once a plant arrives to the customer, shipping costs cannot be refunded.
The shop will do its best to ensure every plant arrives in the best shape possible with proper packaging and care. However, circumstances may happen during shipment that are out of my control.
Partial refunds are granted in accordance with the live arrival guarantee:
- If a plant arrives dead, a refund for the plant affected minus shipping costs will be issued with valid proof (i.e. photos and an email sent within 24 hours of delivery) provided by the buyer.
- Signs of normal shipping stress will not be eligible for partial refunds. This includes yellowing or browning foliage and/or torn or detached leaves. Stressing in plants due to shipping can occur and can be rehabbed with proper care. If the buyer needs further assistance on rehabbing tips, please contact the shop.
Holds
Requests to hold orders will be granted for up to 2 weeks. Please email the shop as soon as possible after placing an order to request a hold.
Plant Requests
No preorders or requests to buy specific plants can be accommodated at this time in the interest of fairness.
All plants will be released during scheduled restocks. Please join the email distribution list to keep up the latest release dates and times.
